Opera Foundation of Buffalo 

The Opera Foundation: 

• funds opera productions, performances, and presentations in Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier;

• cultivates, promotes, fosters, and develops among its members the appreciation and love of opera and its associated performing arts;

• supports opera performers as well as non-performing organizations whose expressed purpose is the furthering of opera in Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier; 

• and encourages aspiring classically trained singers through grants and other assistance. 

The Foundation hosts an annual fall Benefit Reception and Concert featuring one or two local opera singers and organizes a spring Recital that features the awarding of a $1,000 fellowship to a student vocalist along with performances by invited guests.
